Keeper For The Day

See smell touch and get dirty!

Ever thought about a career as a Zoo Keeper and wondered what it really entails? If so why not consider being a Keeper for a day here at Wetlands Animal Park.

Spend the day interacting with some of our exotic and domestic animals. Prepare food for our primates and other guests and serve it up.

Exercise our owls and Skunk

Play housemaid to our hoofed animals

Itinerary

9.00am

Food preparation for our ‘fussy’ guests, learn about what the menus consist of and how they like it served.

Feed up your fruitful delights to our range of primates and hand feed the Lemurs who love to be spoiled!

Make your way to the dining table of sleepy Flump our champagne skunk and rampaging Alice our Giant Sulcata Tortoise.  See if you can wake up Doris our Pot Bellied pig –  you can hear her snore for miles!

Catch the crickets to temp the our Leopard  (Gecko that is)

Dare yourself to serve up a fruit cocktail to our Hissing Cockroaches and try to do it without them hissing at you.

PHEW!    Stop for that well deserved drink and sit down yourself.

Time for a little more housework in one of our hoofed animal enclosures. Will it be the Llama or the wallaby or even the camel who require your services today? Beware of the goats, they love to jump into the wheel barrow!

12.00 Feed yourselves  !!

Now its time to serve up brunch to our family of Coati’s , can you tempt them from the trees? and do a little light cleaning in their enclosure, before moving on to the impatient meerkats.  They will be peering over the wall waiting for you. You will be mobbed for sure so hang on to the tray!  Oh and of  course Noodles our Skunk will  need her daily walk and she just loves to show off for photographs

No time to rest…………………………..Exercise, not for you.  Our owls need exercising daily and that’s your job so out on to the arena, with Barney, Dorothy or Miss Marple our Owls or for older children Casper the Kestrel or Ringo the Vulture.

3.00pm         Sit down, have a drink and receive your personal ‘Keeper for the Day’ certificate.

Well done, now for a good nights sleep and reflection …………
